I don’t begrudge the police anything (I have several friends and neighbors who are officers) but, it’s stories like this that prove we need to keep from blindly surrendering our rights for the illusion of safety...
An undercover narcotics cop was cuffed, beaten and punched by his own back-up team during a buy-and-bust operation in Queens last year, according to a $15 million lawsuit filed last week.
Officer Carlton Foster, who is black, claims in his suit that several white cops who had worked with him before hadn't been trained properly and, as a result, beat him up before recognizing him.
